SAUK CENTRE, MN – Felling Trailers, Inc. conducted its seventh annual online auction of an FT-3 drop deck utility trailer to benefit a non-profit organization: Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF). A bid of $4,500 won the online auction that closed on Saturday, Oct. 5th, 2019. The bid winner was Dan Zehnder of New Berlin, WI.
Dan had seen the Trailer for a Cause on display in Felling’s parking lot while on a business trip that brought him through Sauk Centre. When asked what motivated him to bid on the trailer, Dan said, “I appreciated the opportunity to participate in the auction for four main reasons.
Live generously: I believe opportunities like this provide each of us a chance to be generous and, in one way, give thanks for the blessings in our lives as we share with others.
Family business / Corporate responsibility: Actions such as this hosted by Felling Trailers tell our communities and our associates that “we all matter.” It’s more than just the day-to-day work requirement; it’s all of us being family and caring for each other. A great corporate message.
Support Felling: I wanted to show my support of Felling by bidding.
A quality product: I could use a new light-duty trailer. I’ll give it a good home.”
The 2019 Trailer for a Cause FT-3 was shipped to one of Felling’s dealer locations, Yes Equipment & Services LLC, in Milwaukee, WI, where Dan then took delivery of the trailer. “I picked up the trailer from YES the other afternoon. All went very smoothly. Doug (Doug Demuth of Yes Equipment & Service, LLC.) was a BIG help to me in the process. A great dealer on your behalf. They (Yes Equipment & Service, LLC.) are a very good team,” said Dan.
The 2019 Trailer for a Cause FT-3 utility trailer was painted in CCRF’s signature grey color and donned the CCRF emblem. Several Felling Trailers’ suppliers joined in to support CCRF through sponsorship of the trailer build, from lighting to tires to paint. The 2019 Trailer for a Cause sponsors were Trans-Texas, PPG Industries, Dexter, Sealco, Peterson, Industrial Wood, and Demco. Felling Trailers wanted to generate awareness about childhood cancer along with the research funding and resources that the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) has to offer those individuals and families it affects. The online auction ran for eight days, from Saturday, September 28th at 12:00 PM CST through Saturday, October 5th at 12:00 PM CST ending with Zehnder’s winning bid of $4,500. One hundred percent of the $4,500 winning bid benefits the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
