Somerset Steel today announced the promotion of Donald Walker to Vice President of Operations. In this capacity, Mr. Walker will be responsible for overseeing estimating, project management, engineering, and scheduling. With Walker’s hands-on approach to construction management, he will maintain an active role in all facets of daily operations as well as financial responsibility in maintaining and managing budgets.
Prior to his appointment to the Vice President position, Don served as Somerset Steel’s Senior Project Manager. “During his close to 40 year tenure with the company, he has gained the experience and leadership skills that will suit him well in his new position, said Dan Riggs, President of Somerset Steel. I am confident that Don will provide strategic support to the operations of our company and will continue to be a valuable team leader in our organization.”
