The David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA was the site of the 25th Anniversary TCI Expo hosted by the Tree Care Industry Association November 12 to 14. This year’s event welcomed more than 2,800 tree care professionals and more than 200 exhibitors for the three-day event. Attendees had the opportunity to see the latest in products and services for the tree care industry. They also could attend workshops and seminars that covered various aspects of arboriculture, tree climbing safety and general tree care business information.
This year’s TCI EXPO also hosted a Student Career Day that saw 182 college and high school arboriculture students from across the US, participating in tree climbing competitions at Allegheny Commons West Park. The students also attended educational seminars and visited with potential future employers at a job and internship fair.
The TCI EXPO bills itself as the world’s largest tree care industry trade show and conference. This event is held in alternating venues from year to year with the TCI EXPO for 2016 scheduled to be held in Baltimore, MD November 10-12. Past venues for this event include Hartford, CT and Charlotte, NC among others. For more information on the Tree Care Industry Association and the TCI EXPO, visit their website at www.tcia.org.
