Tracey Road Equipment marks 40th year

Syracuse, NY — Tracey Road Equipment, Inc. (TRE) celebrated their 40th Anniversary on Oct. 6 at the expansive East Syracuse headquarters. Throughout the day, multiple hundreds of customers, municipal workers and associates, as well as Congressman John Katko stopped in to wish TRE well and mill around the various makes, models and types of equipment on display.

In addition to the 25-plus manufacturers available at TRE, recent new product lines proudly offered include Liebherr and Roadtec. There were examples of equipment from each of those manufactures onsite including the Roadtec RP-195e rubber track paver, SB-2500e Shuttle Buggy® and RX-300e milling machine lined up end to end.

The wheel loader rodeo challenged the skill of operators from all walks – private contractor and municipal alike as they maneuvered the Hyundai HL740-9 Loader around the obstacle course of stacked tires and hazard cones vying for the best overall time without bumping or moving the obstacles.

The philosophy threaded through the entire organization from the start has been to service the customer first and foremost irrespective of the product line(s) purchased. TRE is able to do this, and do it well, due to the large number of manufacturing companies they represent.

Because their parts department is so massive, the Product Support Representatives (PSRs) and department staff undergo regular and continuous training in order to advise and equip customers with the best in parts advise and service.

When it comes to servicing municipalities, TRE has the experience and connections to deliver the right package of heavy-duty trucks and accessories for all seasons and being founded in Syracuse — they know snow and how to deal with it on a large scale.

If its rental equipment you need, TRE is equipped with machines for any project for any duration and will deliver to your site with their fleet of Western Star trucks equipped with state of the art haul trailers. They proudly rent only what they sell and the staff of factory trained technicians also maintain the rental fleet to insure top production for best ROI.

From TRE’s humble beginnings in 1976 — when Jerry Tracey started the company with a partner as D.W. Clark Road Equipment — TRE has grown to include five locations serving upstate New York in Syracuse, Albany, Binghamton, Rochester and Watertown and into all surrounding counties.
