The AED Foundation announced today that its annual fundraising campaign has raised over $400,000 in 2019. Proceeds from the Annual Campaign are invested back into the industry with a continued focus on tackling the technician shortage and supporting the growth of AED members.
“I would like to thank all of our generous investors to The AED Foundation’s Annual Campaign for helping us hit our goal and allowing us to continue our mission to address the challenges the equipment industry faces,” said AED Foundation President Brian P. McGuire. “The AED Foundation has a critical mission to ensure the future success of the heavy equipment industry, and without the strong support from our investors, that would not be possible.”
The proceeds from the Annual Campaign will allow The AED Foundation to continue expanding its accreditation and recognition programs, grow its certified technician program, enhance its industry-specific professional educational offerings and continue to fund research reports that back up the importance of workforce development.
The AED Foundation’s key focus areas include:
Accreditation – The AED Foundation accredits post-secondary construction equipment
technology programs and recognizes high school diesel technology programs.
Career Promotion – The AED Foundation programs offer not just job training but long-term career pathways and continuing education.
Research – The AED Foundation funds the research that backs up its claims on the importance of workforce development and shares that data with legislators, educators, the media and other stakeholders.
