Terex Environmental Equipment (TEE) recently hosted its North American Dealer & Customer Conference during the Compost 2016 Demo Day in Jacksonville, FL. Attendees had the opportunity to see how TEE Ecotec equipment operated learning more about the equipment within TEE’s product line. TEE company officials highlighted the rapid development of the brand across the United States and Canada.
TEE grinding equipment demonstrated during the daylong event included two horizontal grinders from the CBI Legacy Series, the TBG680 (CBI 6800BT) and the TBG650 (CBI 5800BT). These two machines processed both land clearing debris and palm trees as part of the demo. Attendees witnessed the unrivaled performance of these machines within the mobile grinder market. Joining the two tracked grinders, the TDSV20 Medium Speed Shredder demonstrated its aggressive cutting action, especially when processing difficult palm trees. Additionally, the TDS820 Slow Speed Shredder demonstrated the benefits of a double shaft shredder with independent shaft drive, when it processed C&D waste.
As part of the new TEE lineup, the TWH226 Waste Handler, fed material into the TDS820 Slow Speed Shredder. Its impressive reach and elevated cabin position let people see the benefits of this machine verses a standard excavator. The TEE operator was able to lift, sort, grab and position material directly on the rotating shafts of the slow speed shredder. The ability of the handler to swivel 360° gives the operator virtually unlimited control of the material handler.
“The TWH226 performed very well,” said TEE Product Management Specialist Elena Sobolew. “Thanks to the machine’s sensitive hydraulics and rock-solid mechanics, the machine moved smoothly and effortlessly.”
TEE Ecotec also highlighted the TTS 620 and Phoenix 2100 from its trommel range. Customers were impressed with the compact design of the TTS 620 and the ease of changing its screening drum for different applications. The Phoenix 2100, with its proven design and large radial fines conveyor, showed impressive production throughput in a high volume application.
As rain began to fall during the afternoon, customers looked on with interest to see how the screening equipment would perform as they screened the more difficult sticky material. The TRS550 Recycling Screen really stood out as the machine which dealt with the challenge well. The aggressive flip flow bottom deck combined with a flexible rubber panel top deck continued to separate the material efficiently, producing a high quality, fine end product. Show attendees interacted with TEE personnel to understand the technology behind each machine.
The TWT500 Compost Turner demonstration was the final stop for both the morning and afternoon sessions. The TWT500’s unique compact design captured the spectator’s attention. Despite its compact size, the TWT500’s powerful processing capabilities featured its innovative discharge conveyor and tracked maneuverability.
The equipment show marked the end to a successful week for TEE as they worked to confirm their position as a global leader in the wood and compost recycling markets. For those who attended the TEE dealer-only conference the day before the demonstration day, the excitement for the TEE brand in the marketplace was evident. Together they look forward to growing their dealerships with this strong brand.
“The response to the North American Terex Ecotec Dealer and Customer Conference that took place at Compost 2016 was outstanding,” said North American Sales Manager of TEE Ecotec Art Murphy. “It provided us the opportunity to demonstrate our equipment for our dealers, their customers and to all show attendees, right alongside our competitors. In a live demonstration format the equipment speaks for itself and we welcome that opportunity.” For more information on TEE products, visit www.terex.com/environmental-equipment/en/ .
