Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers honors GZA for 13th year
NORWOOD, Mass., April 4, 2019 — GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA), a leading multi-disciplinary firm providing geotechnical, environmental, ecological, water, and construction management services, is proud to announce that it has received the Rock Solid Excellence in Safety award from the Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers (IAAP) for the 13th year in a row. GZA remains the only engineering/environmental consultant to repeatedly earn that recognition from the IAAP.
The IAAP Safety Committee established the awards program to encourage adoption of systems and practices that enhance the safety and health programs of participating companies and helps them to attain the goal of zero injuries.
“The Rock Solid Safety Award program was developed to publicly recognize members producing crushed stone, sand, gravel, and industrial minerals as well as companies providing services to the industry,” said Dan Eichholz, IAAP Executive Director. “By rewarding our industry’s leaders, member companies are encouraged and being recognized for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the mine site and in nearby communities.”
“We are proud to receive IAAP’s highest award for safety,” said Patrick Sheehan, GZA’s CEO. “Receiving it for the 13th year in a row is a testament to the safety culture we have created.”
