Asphalt Drum Mixers offers high efficiency EX Series single drum counterflow plant

HUNTERTOWN, IN — Asphalt Drum Mixers, Inc. offers its EX Series asphalt plants with single drum counterflow technology. The compact plants boast the longest aggregate drying and mixing times in the industry.

The EX Series asphalt plants produce 100 to 425 tons of material per hour at a low cost per ton. The plants also are capable of processing as much as 50 percent RAP.

ADM will highlight the EX Series March 7-11 at booth S5428 during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 in Las Vegas.

The EX Series uses counterflow technology with separate drying and mixing zones to achieve maximum heat transfer and fuel efficiency. The system virtually eliminates unsafe hydrocarbon emissions, a common problem with other drum mix plants. To make the plants even more environmentally friendly, ADM reduced emissions by designing the counterflow system to reintroduce residual gases back to the drum’s combustion zone.

The EX Series comes in portable and stationary models that meet all federal and state specifications. The units consistently produce quality asphalt to help protect plant owners against out of spec damages.

Plant controls are sophisticated in their capabilities, yet simple in operation. The EX Series can be operated by just one plant operator and one loader operator. Additionally, the plants are built with durability and low maintenance in mind, so onsite staff are able to easily troubleshoot.

A wide range of components further customizes each plant for particular customer needs. ADM offers cold feed bins, hot oil asphalt cement tanks (both horizontal and vertical), direct fired horizontal cement tanks, portable and stationary bag houses, mineral filler systems, RAP systems, self-erect and stationary silos, weigh and drag conveyors, weigh batchers and fuel oil tanks.

In addition to the EX Series, ADM also offers its MileMaker, RoadBuilder and SPL Series. Each ADM plant can be custom designed to meet individual site requirements, essentially building each client’s business based upon the components and plant size needed.
