Dear AGC NYS Members:
As we all face the COVID-19 pandemic, which has upended virtually every aspect of our lives, both professionally personally, the AGC NYS team is working around the clock to help all of you meet this unprecedented challenge.

The AGC NYS Building and Highway Boards of Governors have also met remotely and will continue to do so to allow us to monitor the situation and its impacts on the industry across the State-and make sure AGC NYS is as well positioned as possible to respond to issues and challenges as they arise.

As a resource for our members, AGC NYS has assembled a range of information from public health experts, government and other sources on the coronavirus and its impacts on our industry specifically and employers in general. You can find those resources by clicking here.  We will continue to update this page as more information becomes available. We urge you to share this with your personnel, and please reach out to AGC NYS with any questions.

We remain in regular communication with state government and public agencies, as well as AGC of America, and will provide any relevant information and guidance as we receive it. New information will also be posted to this web page as we receive it.

Internally, just as I am sure all of you are doing in your own organizations, we are taking steps to protect our staff.  AGC NYS staff is now working remotely but are fully accessible and available to the membership.  E-mail is the best way to reach most of us right now, but we are also still receiving voicemail messages from our office phones as well.

All upcoming events into May have been postponed.  We are actively monitoring the situation for potential impacts on events after that timeframe.  This is disappointing, as much work has already gone into our scheduled meetings and events, but it is critical that we operate out of an abundance of caution and comply with the directions of public health officials to protect the health of our members, participants and staff-and do our part to try to limit the spread of the virus. Where possible, we will leverage technology to conduct meetings and deliver content remotely.
We are also working to develop additional training and educational content that can be delivered remotely to provide value and make the most of potential downtime.  Watch for separate announcements from us on that front.

Our industry is doing its part to help wherever we can.  We have begun to receive request for masks and other PPE from healthcare facilities without sufficient supplies.  When we receive them, we are reaching out to our members in the region that may be able to assist.

This is uncharted territory for all of us, and we will be confronted with challenges we can’t even anticipate at this point.  We will get through this together.
